Proper hydration is a must, before and after Covid vaccination, Doctor says.

This is a time of covid – 19 vaccination. All of us rush to hospitals to get the vaccination. Of course, we ought to take the vaccination in order to fight against the covid – 19 viruses. Doctors agreed that one must adequately hydrate pre and post-vaccination. Since so many days increasing numbers of covid – 19 cases in all across the world and now the government is providing vaccine facilities to people. But unfortunately, people are not sure what to eat before and after vaccination. It is more important to hydrate pre and post-vaccination. Because the covid vaccine works by activating our immune system to generate antibodies to an infectious disease. When we get our covid vaccination our immune system reacts with a flood of new antibodies. Dr. Nagrani says, our circulatory system can get to work spreading these fresh antibodies to all our organs and carrying away any waste materials created by immune cells.

Celebrity nutritionist Pooja Makhija shared few tips to follow pre and post-vaccination. Here the simple and best tips to get vaccines before and after.

All of you know that Alcohol suppresses our immune function, as well as Alcohol, dehydrates our body, that is the reason we should not intake alcohol. Alcohol leads to weakened immunity and dehydration. According to a study published in the journal Alcohol Research, alcohol consumption has also been linked with weakened immunity.

We must have a good sleep and rest before vaccination. If we did not take proper sleep, it can suppress our immune by 70/. As well as experts believe that foods rich in fiber are crucial for a relaxed body and a good immune system. During the process of vaccination, it is much essential to be well-rested and active. As per the study published in the journal of clinical sleep medicine, we should avoid eating saturated fats and sugary foods that lead to stress and anxiety and will cause disturbed sleep.

An empty stomach leads to dizziness and more likely to faint. Dr. Malinow suggests that it would better to eat something that is made at home. The development of immunity depends on the body. Doctors agree that staying adequately hydrated before and after getting the COVID vaccine is extremely important. “Not only does everything in the bodywork better in a well-hydrated state, but some with needle phobia and fainting history will do a lot better if they show up hydrated,” says Dr. Malinow.

“The best way to reduce global warming is to plant more trees.”

The year 2020 is set to be among the three warmest on record according to the latest state of the global climate provisional report by the World Meteorological organization on Dec. 1, 2020. Climate change continued its relentless march in 2020, which is on track to be one of the three warmest years on record. 2011-2020 will be the warmest decade on record, with the warmest six years all being since 2015, according to the World Meteorological Organization. Scientists agree that global warming is caused mainly by human activity. Specifically, the evidence shows that certain heat-trapping gases, such as carbon dioxide, are warming the world—and that we release those gases when we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Since 1880 the earth’s average surface temperature has risen by 0.07 c ( 0.13 F) every decade. Therefore as a result of heavy heat at home, office surrounding environment, it’s impossible to survive without the table fan, ceiling fan, air conditioner. Our day-to-day life is completely dependent upon all these man-made machines. It may have both advantages and disadvantages but man-made machines don’t replace the natural air conditioner. It’s true, trees are like nature’s air conditioner. Planting and preserving forests in the tropics are more likely to slow down global warming. Forest absorb the greenhouse gas carbon- dioxide from the atmosphere and helps keep the planet cool. Forest evaporates water into the atmosphere and increases cloudiness. So, which helps us to keep cool without an air conditioner.

How trees or forests cool our cities and surroundings?.

1.Trees give shades.

Nothing is comparable with this beautiful and valuable forest. Generally, trees can help provide cooling by providing shade and through a process known as evapotranspiration. Trees provide most of their cooling effect by shading. Trees can also cool down the concrete buildings. They provide shade to prevent solar radiation from penetrating windows or heating up external walls. In this increasing global warming condition, we need to plant more and more trees and forests to get shade from trees to cool down the terraced houses, apartment blocks where people live.

2.Trees beat the heat.

Evapotranspiration occurs when the sun’s rays hit the tree’s canopy causing water to evaporate from leaves. So, this cools them down. Trees cool the cities through the process of transpiration in which water is absorbed through the roots and pushed into the air tiny pores in leaves. Because trees can transpire significant volumes of water; a mature tree can transpire up to 150 liters per day. Trees also cool the air by a process known as ‘transpiration cooling‘. As trees release water into the atmosphere from their leaves via transpiration, the surrounding air is cooled as water goes from liquid to vapor. The process is similar to evaporation pads used to cool greenhouses — except in trees, water moves into the tree’s roots from the soil and travels through the tree’s water-conducting system, eventually being transpired from the leaves.

3.Trees can reduce the temperature.

Plants and trees not only improve the air quality but also lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the temperature of their surrounding environment day and night. Forest or trees cool the soil directly by minimizing moisture loss from the surface. More and more plants will protect the soil surface from the sun’s heat and reduce moisture loss.

4.Trees can function as a natural recycling machine.

When the leaf falls down from the surface of the tree takes in moisture from the air and heat from the sun to make food. This process is called “photosynthesis“. So, this improved air quality around the home, apartment, concrete buildings acts as a natural air conditioner.

Is the air conditioner good for health?

People have been using the air conditioners for so many years, it’s an integral part of our modern comfortable life. It is said that to make the environment even hotter due to its contribution to global warming by releasing poisonous gases into the environment, these gases include chlorofluorocarbons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons both gases negative impact on the environment. It consumes so much electricity and therefore releases pollution, when fossil fuel is burned, carbon dioxide is released into the air. One of the studies states that due to the use of air conditioners worsening asthma problems, allergies are two health issues that can stem from contaminated AC units. Continuous exposer to AC can trigger a headache in people, dehydration, dry eyes, respiratory problems, dry skin, and other hazards.

From the very beginning, humans had a mutual relationship with the natural world. We have been facing a lot of environmental hazardous problems but on the other hand, we have a solution itself in this beautiful Nature. God nourishes us with his loving presence is through the beauty of nature. The rise of technology and science may have distanced us superficiality from nature, it not changed our reliance on the natural world. What we are today facing the problems these are all the outcomes of man’s stay away from nature. The natural world regulates the earth’s climate, ecosystem, biodiversity. Before the new advanced air conditioner system comes to market we need to conserve the trees and forest in order to survive all animal beings. Changes in global temperatures may cause different problems, every problem has a solution. If we cover more and more trees we can get away with all these natural problems like global warming. Let’s move on to Nature.

New Year with Ugadi festival for Hindus.

Ugadi is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India. People usually get up early in the morning, take an oil bath and dress in fresh new clothes, do the prayer and pooja at home. Since it is a festival, the house is decorated and cleaned with flowers and mango leaves at the front of the main doors of the house. Without the mango leaves, it’s impossible to imagine a great festival, all these rituals symbolize prosperity and peace for the coming years for all the household members of the family. It is a ritual that people use to eat neem leaves and jaggery, this signifies the sweet and sour moments that we should be prepared in life. The term Ugadi comes from “yug” meaning “era” and”Adi” its meaning is “beginning”. This festival comes on the first day of the first month of the ” Chaitra masa” of the Hindu calendar. Ugadi festival celebrated to symbolize the beginning of a new year. There are various other legends relating to the Ugadi festival. According to Hindu sculpture and astrological calculations, it is considered that Lord Krishna’s Nirvaana was commenced on Shukla paksha of Chaitra masa. (month). This day also considered as the beginning of the kali yuga. It is believed that Kali Yuga began on the day Lord Krishna left the earth.

There is a lot of difference between the western calendar and the Indian Hindu calendar, in calculating days, months, and a year. September, October, November, and December should be the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th months of the year according to the Roman calendar, it is not the same in the western calendar. This roman calendar system constituted only 304 days in a year. The extra winter days come between the end of December and the beginning of the following March.

The gregorian calendar is the internationally accepted calendar, it is commonly referred to as the western or Christian calendar. The western calendar is a result of several reforms of the Julian calendar system. The western calendar is based upon the basic unit of time and groups them into 12 months that form a year containing 365 or 366 days.

But whereas Hindu calendar referred to the saka calendar. The lunar year of the Hindu calendar consists of 12 months. One lunar month comprises of the two fortnights, which begin with the new moon and end with a full moon. Since Vedic times the people of Hindus have been following the Hindu calendar, according to it, there are six seasons in India Spring, summer, Mansoon, Autumn, pre-winter, and winter. The Hindu calendar is completely based upon even the natural seasons wherein springs when the leaves of the trees fall, new leaves emerge according to the Hindu calendar this is called as Chaitra masa. So, Ugadi festival comes in Chaitra masa, in all ways, it is considered the year’s first festival. In the spring season nature itself starts its new beginning. Man depends upon nature for his survival. Spring decorates Nature, it symbolizes the rebirth of Nature even. Therefore Ugadi means birth – the new birth – a new year for Hindus, according to the Hindu calendar. According to Vikram Samvat, the month of Chaitra (usually falls between the months of March and April) marks the New year or the first month of the Hindu calendar.

It is said that the God of creation, Lord Brahma started creation on this day Chaitra shuddha padyami, which is celebrated as Ugadi. This day is very auspicious as Nature looks so beautiful at the incarnation of Goddes of Spring in the month of Chaitra masa.

In so many countries of the globe, the new year begins on Jan 1st because when we look back at its history, during the reign of Numa pompilius, he revised the ‘Roman republican’ calendar. Since January was named after ‘Janus’ the roman God of all beginnings. The Romans had a god named Janus. He was the god of doors and gates and had two faces—one looking forward and one looking back. Julius Caesar thought it would be appropriate for January, Janus’s namesake month, to be the doorway to a new year, and when he created the Julian calendar, he made January 1 the first day of the year. In 46 BC Julius caesar introduced more changes, through the Julian calendar with the expansion of the Roman empire, the use of the Julian calendar also spread. Later after the fall of Rome in 5 th century, many Christian countries altered the calendar, it was more reflective of their religion Dec. 25 became common new year days. After Rome fell and Christianity spread through Europe, the celebration of the new year was seen as pagan (the Romans, after all, had observed the new year’s first day by having in drunken orgies), so the first day of the year was moved to a more agreeable date to Christianize it. After Rome fell and Christianity spread through Europe, the celebration of the new year was seen as pagan (the Romans, after all, had observed the new year’s first day by having in drunken orgies), so the first day of the year was moved to a more agreeable date to Christianize it. Some countries started their year on March 25, the day Christians commemorate the announcement to Mary that she miraculously was pregnant. Other countries used Christmas Day, December 25, and others used Easter Sunday, no matter what date it fell on. Often, this change only applied to the government calendars. In common usage, January 1 was still the first day of the year, as regular non-clergy, non-royal folks didn’t t see a need to change it.

Holi- Indian Cultural Heritage.

Festivals celebrated in India than anywhere else in the world. There are many festivals and celebrations in India, each festival reflects the richness There is no account here of celebratory festivals. Each has a history and meaning behind it. Holi is such a feast and celebration. Holi festival is a fascinating cultural and religious celebration that has been celebrated since ancient Indian times. Holi is a festival that brings joy, excitement, and delight to the mind. It is celebrated in the spring as a way to welcome it and is seen as a new beginning. It is the most vibrant of all Hindu festivals. Like other festivals in the country, Holi is associated with popular legends of Hinduism. Holi festival is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Phalguna. Holi is a symbol of good triumph over evil.

There are so many aspects which make it significant in our customs and traditions. This colorful, vivid, vibrant festival close to our religion Hinduism and our mythology. The Hindu legend says there once lived a devil and powerful king, Hiranyakashyap who considered himself a God and wanted everybody to worship. Prahlad began to worship Lord Vishnu. To get rid of his son Hiranyakashyap asked his sister Holika to enter a blazing fire with Prahlad in her lap as she was unharmed. Legend says that Prahlad was saved for his extreme devotion to the Lord Vishnu while Holika paid a price for her evil desire. The tradition of burning Holika comes mainly from this legend.

Holi is also associated with Lord Krishna and Radha which describes the extreme delight where Lord Krishna took in applying color on Radha and other Gopis. This tends to a Holi festival. When he was a baby, he had blue skin color after drinking the poisoned breast milk of the demon. When he became young, he would often feel sad about whether the fair color Radha would never like him because of his skin color. So, Krishna’s mother asked him to go and color Radha’s face with any color he wanted. When Krishna applied color to Radha then people have started playing with colors on Holi.

Festival of Colors, Holi is celebrated all over the country with enthusiasts. From a scientific perspective, Holi is played in the spring season. This period induces the growth of bacteria in the atmosphere as well as in the body. When Holika is burnt to the temperature of the atmosphere raises around 50 – 60 degrees. so, the heat coming from the fire kills the bacteria in the body. In some parts of the country, people use to put ash of Holika burning on their forehead, they believed that it promotes good health. Particular color plays a vital role in the human body. Some colors made with turmeric, neem, Palash could cure skin diseases. The natural color powders made from natural ingredients healing effect on the human body. It’s very sad, now the days market is filled with synthetic colors comprise of toxic components that lead to rashes on the skin, allergies. Hence the festival of Holi is significant for our lives and body by providing joy and fun. Western physicians and doctors believe that for a healthy body, colors have an important place besides the other vital elements.

India is a magnificent country, there are many festivals, rituals, and beliefs. Moreover, all these festivals and celebrations have their own scientific backgrounds and mythological meanings if we understood and practiced them in a scientific way. India has unique festivals and celebrations that still attract foreigners today, this is remarkable. Holi is a festival ritual and traditions have brought holiness to the Holi festival. The festival brings together every member of the house and fills the festive mood with everyone. Holi grasps the message that we should bow down to what is good. This festival is the essence of the fact that evil can never win against the power of God. Holi helps people to believe in the truth and to fight evil.

“The world Sparrow Day.”- No selfie with the sparrow, Only candied memory.

If we remember our childhood memorable days, our hearts filled and danced with the memory of beautiful Sparrows. We were grown-up by seeing the little sparrows in villages. How beautiful, friendly, lovely they are!. Almost all the houses were a shelter to the nest of sparrows as well as a bus station, railway station, shrubs. During those innocent childhood days, it was a great pleasure and passion to watch those sparrows. when we woke up early in the morning, there itself a deep emotional connection between the sparrows with us. That was a time, we didn’t know YouTubes and we didn’t carry mobile phones. So sad, no photographs with our hearts touching sparrows. No selfies with our beloved sparrows We would have taken colorful photographs if we had a mobile camera in our childhood days. Unfortunately, now we have wonderful mobile cameras but no house sparrows, those are completely disappearing from our houses, surrounding environments, bus stops, and railway stations. World sparrow day is celebrating on 20 March every year in many countries around the world. This year the world sparrow day is celebrating with the theme” I love sparrows”.

Must watch it:

Sparrows are the early mates.

There is a long connection between sparrows with human civilization. It is said that the ancient Roman introduced the house sparrow to Europe from North America and Eurasia. Therefore there itself the human migration took the birds to other parts of the world. Sparrows were the social bird living side by side around human beings. The adorable sparrows chirping and flitting around in our courtyards. Sparrows emotionally connected with us ever since humans started depending on agriculture. In fact, so many birds are mentioned in our mythologies and folklores among, them sparrows also.

Sparrows are no longer.

It is very difficult to see our beloved sparrows. Nesting places are not for them. There are a lot of reasons, such as building, cutting down trees, and so on. The beautiful birds are almost extinct. Human activities and urbanization are responsible for the disappearance of beautiful sparrows.

we need sparrows.

Sparrows mostly prefer seeds, millets, grass, weed, sunflower seeds. They also eat fruits and berries, during this process sparrows spread seeds to places away. This would cause the growth of plants and hence sparrows are the producers in the ecosystem. Small insects are a big problem to agricultural plants but sparrows feed on small insects even and helpful to formers by playing the role of preserving the ecosystem. Little sparrows wanted to live in the company of man, they build a nest in the roof of a house. The sparrows were coming home as members. Difficult to believe how the modern lifestyle has completely changed. Of course, few scientists say due to mobile waves, the sparrows have disappeared from sight.

Last words.

There will always be a pleasure from birds. Birds are some of the best indicators of biological diversity in any given area because they are usually seen or heard in their environments, especially in urban areas. According to science, birds bring more happiness. We feel happier when we watch birds! The modern lifestyle is not pleasurable. All animals and birds have an important place in the diversity of life. In addition to the modern lifestyle and development, Nature, animals, birds need to be protected. There is no match for the melodious song of the birds, their beauty is literally incomparable with anything else. Love sparrows.
